Diploma in Supply Chain and Operations Management
Objectives:
This course aims to equip students with the skills to apply science-based techniques to work-related problems, business forecasting, quantitative and heuristic problem-solving, supply chain, quality management, and to develop decision support, scheduling and control systems. This course is ideal for students who wish to learn more about supply chain and operations management.
Course Duration:
This course (Full-time/Part-time) consists of 9 modules. All modules will be completed within 9 months
Course Outline:
There are 9 modules in total:
– Business Law & Ethics;
– International Economics;
– Organisational Behaviour & Culture;
– Principles of Accounting;
– Principles of Marketing;
– Principles of Management;
– Legal Issues in Transportation and Logistics;
– Purchasing and Procurement Management;
– Warehouse and Inventory Management
Course Time:
There will be 6 hours of lesson time each week(Part-time);
There will be 5 lessons x 3 hours each week(Full-time);
Schedule of the classes will be planned to suit the course’s needs;
There will be no classes conducted during public holidays and school holidays.

Minimum Entry Requirement:
Applicants must be 18 years or above and fulfil the following requirements
*GCE “O” level passes or a recognized High School Diploma or Equivalent.
*Applicants with 9 years’ formal education and 5 years’ work experiences will be considered on case by case basis.
*English Language with at least one GCE O Level; or passed the language proficiency test of Nanyang Asia College or equivalent.
Assessment Examination:
There are two assessment papers:
Paper 1: Section A 20 MCQ (Open Book) (each answer = 2 marks = 40 marks in total )
Paper 2: Section B (50 marks in total) (Closed Book)
Essay Questions: To answer 2 out of 3 questions (each answer = 25 marks = 50 marks in total)
Attendance/Presentation: 10 marks
Course Completion & Certification:
Upon completion of the 9 modules, those who fulfilled the required attendance and pass all the assessments will be awarded a Diploma in Supply Chain and Operations Management certificate by Nanyang Asia College.
Attendance must not less than 75%(Part-time)or 90%(Full-time) and not absent without valid reason for more than 7 consecutive days.

Miscellaneous Fees refer to any non-compulsory fees which the students pay only when applicable. Such fees are normally collected by the PEI when the need arises

Course Duration
There are two semesters per year. Semester 1 runs from April to September (6 months); on the other hand, semester 2 runs from October to March (6 months). Depending on the student-applicant’s level, some students may need to take both Semesters 1 and 2 to complete the whole course. A monthly assessment is also administered.
Students may join classes at any time in the year as long as they agree to the school’s terms and conditions.
